Shh! Top Secret Gok’s Summer Range at Sainsbury Has Landed
The Weekly Shop Transformed From Drudgery To Paradise, Thank You Gok!
Well, blow me down, as I shuffled into Sainsbury’s today, a very excited yet wan- faced assistant had just finished puffing up the last of the party balloons that were the crowning glory for Gok‘s display of summer togs. The passionately enthusiastic assistant frog marched me forthwith to cast an eye over the rest of the range.Yes, he’s been at it again! Gok’s summer range has snuck quietly in through the back door! And here’s me thinking that Gok had turned his attention to chinese cuisine and laid his fashion clogs to rest!
Gok’s penchant for monochrome is still omnipresent although there is also a nod to this season’s soft pastels palette. A barely there oyster pink toned in with grey and caramel soften the hues of this latest collection. Ever mindful of our bits and pieces needing some good foundation wear, he has skilfully included the much needed camisoles and slips to give that smooth silhouette we all crave.
Here are my favourite pieces!

The maxi pleated skirt is a real scorcher at £35. It has the most wonderfully floaty quality and Gok has taken care to include our petite sisters by offering two lengths. I would tend to dress this skirt down for day wear with a loose structured long sleeve T and vest, but you can really up the Grace Kelly glamour stakes with bronze wedges and an embellished top for evening! Gok offers a long line cream top (also in pink) with patent belt £25 which has a very minimalist feel…. You can also wear with chunky knit and boots for the Autumn season so you can really max out the cost per wear factor. Love it!
The flared chiffon skirt £30 has a beautiful almost there bow print introducing a touch of grey. Worn with the little cardigan £28 the two versions of the same print compliment each other but the pleat fronted top adds another dimension so we have the basis for a few different looks. Gok also covers our derriers once again with a selection of mid rise jeans and trousers in grey and black not to mention a good pair of denims.
The capri pants are a fabulous summer classic and are a must for a stylish alternative for those of us unable to go the whole hog and wear shorts. The back pocket detail really flatters and frankly one can’t get enough of a decent rear view……
Thank you Gok for transforming this morning’s drudgery into a fashion elixir! I’m off to make plans for that pleated maxi….what is your favourite summer look?
