Simply Take One Pair of COS Shorts….
Build a variety of looks with this key guide for packing for that summer getaway!
Collection of Style or COS have been making ripples in the fashion world since its minimalist London arrival in 2007. H&M felt it was time to produce a premium brand offering style and quality clothes at affordable prices. Clean lines and soft colour palettes reign supreme with some renegade acid brights thrown in to cause a stir. The whole look reflects a sense of sophisticated european styling which is effortless.
There is a real sense of calm and tranquility as I tip-toed into the hallowed water of our local Brighton store. The rails stretch the length and breadth of the shop in colour storeys displaying this season’s pieces, It’s so easy to pan round and see where everything is. Accessories are on low tables artfully arranged to help you complete the look. The changing rooms have two mirrors so you can check out that all important rear view and there is sensible shelving on which to put your belongings. With the hanging space also more than adequate, unlike most changing rooms, I was in sartorial heaven. Everything is geared up for a sedate experience culminating in a tissue wrapped purchase at the hands of a smiling assistant.
Here is this weeks guide on how to build a number of looks around one item, which in this case is a pair of yellow shorts.
Simply take one pair of COS tailored shorts £45…..
The fit of so comfy and there is s..t..r..e..t..c..h… 10/10
Take in the back view to ensure a flattering fit
Then add a summer vibe vest for the beach.
The sun is not always guaranteed to shine, take a light knit £35 but keep the summer pastels theme going and accessorise with a scarf.
For a relaxed look for the evening, mix in a silk top £59 and throw in a silky cover up £59 and metallic wedges to ramp up the chicometer stakes. Et voila! There is something sexy and understated about this pared down look.
COS has just brought me my own little ray of sunshine this week! I find myself gazing at this mirage of soft tonal loveliness hanging in my wardrobe and yearning for the another glimmer of British summer. What sums up summer for you in your wardrobe?

Love them!! As someone who NEVER wears shorts, I’m very tempted…they look fab on you! Great post Vanessa, Avrilx
Thank you so much, I know Shorts can be a bit dodgy especially at my age. I reckon if there’s enough going on around them to keep the eye wandering around it’s worth experimenting! Let me know if you wander onto the dark side…. would love to see what you make of a pair of shorts xx
